Virus that hides all the files on my USB

January 28th, 2020

Hello. My laptop currently has a virus that hides all the files of a certain USB drive whenever I insert it into my laptop. I tried scanning my laptop but the virus is still there. I used Norton Internet Security and Malwarebytes. Any solutions for this? I’m planning to lend my laptop to my cousins since they need it for school but I don’t want to lend them a laptop that would ruin their USB devices.
Answer #1
More then likely it isnt a virus, but the drivers which run your usb slots..
Answer #2
What makes you think that it’s a virus?
It could be a problem with usb not depending on a virus…
Can you access the usb and create a folder?
Answer #3
Because when I unhide all the files in the usb using command prompt, there’s a .script file that shows up. But I didn’t even put that one there. If I delete it, then I unplug-plug my usb again, the same script file shows up when I unhide the files using command prompt.
Answer #4
