Video Converter

I just got an ipod touch and i would like to put some videos on it, but i can’t seem to find a video converter that works for me to convert the video to the proper format, which also i don’t know what the format is. I would like to be able to convert mp4, avi, divx, and maybe some more to the ipod format.

i use handbrake 0.9.3. it has an ipod/iphone preset for easy encoding.

the developers have released 0.9.4 but they dropped the presets and some other features. here is the official site:

this is freeware, open-source.

Sorenson Squeeze 6.0.0.73 is specially made for those kinds of video conversions.
