Best video converter?

I will be mainly converting mkv files to avi/wmv. However I want the option to convert to alot of formats. I am also wondering whats the fastest.

I normally use format factory, but cannot exactly say that it’s the best. it sometimes gives errors when converting mkv videos into other formats.

Another vote for Freemake Video Converter. It’s a light, free and good app, that converts videos with lots of different formats. I’ve used it myself sometimes and have no complains about the quality.

Yes, give Freemake a go for sure..
For retail ones, Aimersoft Video Converter Ultimate is good.
I found it to be the best at keeping video and audio in synch with some mkv to avi stuff I was having problems with.
Another simple freebie is Avidemux.
