http://www.freemake.com/ Will do this why do you want to convert to AVI it sucks now older slower computers have a harder time playing WM AVI MKV M4V I would convert this video to MP4

Freemake will do nicely
But it is strange why avi would be preferred over mkv

Avi is necessary if you want to play it in a Divx compatible DVD player. Freemake is good…But make sure you install carefully and do “custom” to avoid being filled with crapware!
