USB Stick wont Read
August 7th, 2016
check device manager to see if its detected. if it is all it may require is a drive letter be assigned to it. happened to me a few times
The problem is when i Insert it, it does work. It shows as Removable Disk: (J) ans when i try to Open it it says that i need to Format it
have you tired entering the drive letter into the run prompt e.g ‘J:\’?
Yh, it still says i need to Format, and i tried to Format but it says it cannot be Formatted
PS: It says the USB is 8.00 MB , when its 512MB
try formatting it from disk management.
Still no
if its not too much trouble could a see a screenshot of the device in device manager?
I’ll have to gt btw, be back in an hour
you will need to expand the disk drives category.
not a problem. when you come back post the image and ill get a notification about it.
im really sorry but after doing research on google mainly here http://help.com/post/56531-my-1g-chipsbnk-usb-drive-is-listed
it seems that your USB is broken. it seems that the manufacture produces poor quality chips which are prone to failure. sorry looks like your going to have to buy a new USB.
