Upgrade Help [SOLVED]

I’m planning to upgrade my PC this new year and would appreciate some suggestions.
This is my current config:
(I know it is ancient piece of dung so don’t bother posting messages like “WTF! you need to build from scratch dump your current one “)
I want to make it Modern Warfare 2 compatible.
- Please note that I’m not a super rich kid waiting to burn all his dad’s money
So, please be a little reasonable.
Kindly also note that I recently won a ‘super n00b’ competition So please be elaborate in your replies when required.
I’d also appreciate if you could link me to the websites where the component it available at some reasonable price

2 GB of extra ram and an ATI 4790
Okay, Isleton has one PCI-Express Connector, that is good because you don’t have to start from scratch because of motherboard. Graphic card is integrated, this is the biggest problem for MW2. You can get a cheaper card, I’m running MW2 on Medium Details with Palit GeForce 8500GT. It is not the best solution, but most new games are running on it (ArmA2 is bit lagging though), but I have also 4GB of RAM.
Maybe you can get better CPU, but it is not essential.

And yeah what kidd said, get some more RAM and get a new graphics card. Just make sure you get components that are compatible together.
which gfx card is good? ATI or Nvidia? Which model?
All you really need is two more gigabytes of RAM, and a new video card. I’d recommend getting an Nvidia card. I have had better experience with them, than my ATi cards.

Regarding the budget, I’m not sure coz I don’t know how much it’s gonnna cost me. I was wondering if someone could give me a few options to choose from 🙂

Get a GT 240, it performs well and it goes about 50 euros.

What should I see? It is the memory (like 512mb, 1gb..)? or is it something else? I’ve even noticed that different cards with the same memory cost different.
Can you also suggest me a monitor? Which one would you recommend? Which brand is more reliable and shows chrisper and sharper pictures? I’d like to know my options in > 22″
