Upgrade from XP to 7

No.
It is possible to keep some stuff if you have a second drive. I have 2 HDDs in my laptop and even though I had to wipe the one that had the OS on it to upgrade to 7 the other one still had everything I had put on it from before. Of course these were just files and not program installations but still, it helped.

How is this helpful? Of course you can use an external drive to back up pics, documents, songs, etc…regardless of OS.

Yeap But If U`ve only a single HDD Den its Not Helpful i suppose :p
Well its Not Possible To Udgrade to Win 7 frm Xp Without Loosing any data Created by the windows or the data which is the drive in which OS is Installed !
I think if you install 7 on the same partition without formatting XP should be made into a windows.old folder which you can access later to copy stuff out then delete
It is possible to keep all your files but your old windows and programs directory will be moved to a oldwindows folder. Some things you might be ok to move back but some stuff probably wont work.
