Upgrade 3gs

hello everyone
i would like to upgrade my 3GS to 5.1.1, i currently have 4.1 with baseband 06.15.00 When i try to update in itunes, i get error an unknown error has occurred (11) when i try to restore IOS 5.1.1
someone told me to check SHSH blogs with F0recast application, i checked it and SHSH blobs is not available for 5.1.1
please help

3gs new boot rom must have shsh blob to upgrade to 5.1.1, too late to get 5.1.1 shsh now, apple they close sign now.

Hmm… Install iSHSHit and see what blobs are saved on your phone.
Cydia auto saves blobs for your phone. Use iSHSHit to recover them.
I then used itools to locate the save folder and I saved them to my pc… instead of using the email function of iSHSHit.
As for the unknown error in itunes, there is a work around for that.
But you must have the saved blobs for your phone to upgrade or downgrade to a lower version than the latest ios that’s being signed. See the site below for all the info you need about that kind of stuff.
