Uninstall / install new audio drivers?
February 6th, 2020
If they’re the latest from Windows you may be better getting the ones from the actual retailer. As for uninstalling/installing them. Start > Right click My Computer > Manage. Select Device Manager and Sound, video and game controllers. Right click > Uninstall then Install.
what sound card you’re using? Is it Creative Sound PCI?
Also be aware that when you install your sound it also installs codecs it needs, and if you install codec packs afterwords they could replace or conflict with the ones the sound device needs. Get those dang packs the heck off your PC and use only individual codecs as you need them. People who recommend and use codec packs do so cause they do not know what their doing so they install everything and it usually screws things up.
Installed the drivers that Acer had for my type, still have the same problem.. They were Realtek HD, the last available update.
And I don’t really know what sound card I’m using, the video card I’m using is Nvidia Geforce 7050, but I don’t know if that’s related to it.
It’s so weird I got this problem. My sound was working flawlessly a few days ago, and then all of a sudden it started sounding distorted, like when you’re looking for a channel on the radio. It’s only when other stuff is still loading too. So if I’m only playing a song in Itunes it’s okay, but when I try to play a youtube video which has to load simultaneously with it playing, it starts sounding like that.

I hadn’t installed anything yet, just the Windows 7 installation, a few programs from here, firefox and then a microsoft update.
Edit : Just completely uninstalled win7 and then installed it again, the problem is still there. So yes, I’m guessing it’s the drivers that aren’t up to date or something. Or perhaps my sound card isn’t compatible with win7, is that possible?
