Touchpad Driver Dell D531 Windows 7 x64

Anyone have a driver that works?
I have tried many and it is the roll of the dice to get one to actually work. About a year ago I had to reinstall and finally (after several days) got one to “stick”. The same driver still gives me fits and I think somehow it worked itself out on previous install….
What happens is upon boot, either the touchpad does or does not work with great graphics or the graphics reverts back to VGA and the touchpad is dead.
Any insight or a d531 user with experience in this madness with the good dope?

Have you tried the drivers from Dell.com?
All drivers for Latitude D531…

Or you can enter your service tag number at the dell support site and get the drivers listed for your laptop the way it was originally configured…

graphics reverts back to VGA
have you installed the graphics driver from ATI or dell
if there’s a vista driver from dell for that model it might work with 7

Thanks, peeps. I have tried it all. The thing that bothers me is that the driver that I previously used (that worked) has issues now. I just do not get it….
Maybe it will work itself out — again.
I will update when the system stabalizes.
