I uninstalled my nvidia driver and installed the latest one… nothing works
I have a cooler pad and I’m sure that it is not overheating problem because the problem occurs very early………
I looked for the solution in Google, W-BB but didn’t got the right solution
I have nvidia 8600M GS
Ans suggestions please??

Answer #1
run DXDIAG and see if it shows any problems
you could also try older drivers, that 8600 is from around 2007/2008 so you prob don’t gain running anything past the 190 series driver anyway
Answer #2
Run Furmark and check if the driver is crashing.
Answer #3
I don’t have any problems shown in DXDIAG
@raj
It crashed at 23%

Did you try this ?
Could also be an overheating issue – maybe you need to clean the lappy’s fan and heat sink and renew the thermal paste.

try using an older driver of the 275 series or less

I’ve formatted my system but the problem hasn’t been solved..
It’s a hardware problem as expected…
I heard of something like a liquid or gel that is spread on the processor… is it good?
@bajarwas: sorry I didn’t get it
note that my laptop has an integrated GFX card… so am I not going to be able to replace it or even fix it?

No surprises there – if you restored exactly the same backup.
Did you try with a fresh install of Windows ? (You would always have your other backup incase)

You definately need to use some kind of thermal paste.
I use Arctic MX 4 thermal paste, as it’s non-metallic and doesn’t solidify, supposed to last up to 8 years. It’s only about £3 for a 4g syringe which will do quite a few processors, you only need a small bit.

If cleaning your lappy doesn’t help, and you have tried rolling back with much older drivers, you can get the mobo checked out. You may need a replacement.
You can buy mobo testers quite cheaply.

Of course mate .... I installed a fresh one and tried the game and had the same problem... thus I knew that it's a hardware problem and restore my previous backup...

Thanks

Make sure you take it somewhere reputable that won’t rip you off. Ask around if any of your family, friends etc know anyone in your area they have used before.
