stop my cd& dvd devices from reading… HOW?

i am having a party tomorow and i really want to avoid my friends bringing their cds with stupid music… i don’t want to be rude either… is there a way stop my dvdrom and cdrom from reading cds and dvds? just for one night.. a program, something else than unplugging them from the motherboard?
please help me!

You can disable your devices in the Device Manager. Click Start–>My Computer(right click)–>Hardware–>Device Manager (for XP, not sure about Vista and other OS). There just select the device and click on disable. Good luck mate ^_^
