[SOLVED]Yamaha YHT-196 5.1 Home Theater System

I am planning on buying these speakers and was expecting if anyone who have heard them can tell me about the experience and if there is any other better system available at the same price range (in India).
I was watching a review which recommended using optical spdif cable ??
any beneft ???

Optical spdif cable is just a common and most popular way of passing digital audio signals,
Coaxial digital is another way, just uses copper instead of fiber.
Your receiver has both and it also has an audio return chan,
so that digital audio can be sent from the TV back to the A/V receiver, via the hdmi cable, if your TV is compatible,
otherwise you just use an optical spdif cable between the two.
The system looks quite reasonable….If you are happy with the compact speakers,
and you like the sound of it, then go for it 🙂

i was searching for better alternatives and found yht-299 to be much better
