[SOLVED]Video card broken? *added more pics*
January 24th, 2020
I started my computer yesterday and then the problems began, I saw weird signs everywhere on my screen between the normal startup screens. On other screens broken blue lines and when windows started up I couldn’t change the resolution of my desktop and if I change my background to black I get black background with blue horizontal broken lines.
I installed updated video drivers and still it doesn’t work, when I go to the nvidia control panel it sais my gpu isn’t connected:
My graphics card is a NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS 512.
Pictures taken with camera:
Switched cable to other connection, worked fine until I started a game where the card was needed, this happened and pc crashed.
I don’t think that your graphic card is broken because if it was broken then the above screen wouldn’t come and your monitor would not start.. Do you have an onboard graphics on your motherboard.? If yes then try to plug in the monitor in that output and see if the problem persists or not..

I don’t have an onboard graphics motherboard. Before I took the graphics card out and putted it back in the monitor shut down in 5-10 mins, that happened twice and the monitor said it didn’t have a signal and when I moved the mouse I couldn’t get back to windows so I had to shutdown the pc with the power button. (also the pc crashed 2 times before that, I don’t know if that has to do with the graphics card or with the program that I installed before the crashes)
EDIT: lol the first screenshot I posted looks normal on other pc’s … on my pc its black with blue broken horizontal lines…
Another edit: PC crashed again after I edited this…
