Try HDD Regenerator, should be quite easy to find.
Just not allot of live links.

It’s included in Hiren’s Boot CD (up to version 10, newer versions you will need to get a “restored” edition because commercial apps was removed from the real one)

Hiren’s BootCD 10 > Hard Disk Tools > HDD Regenerator
Answer #4
You can’t remove a bad sector, you can however “hide” it by using chkdsk

the Meerkat replied: You can't remove a bad sector, you can however "hide" it by using chkdsk
True. You could’ve put it better however, You only gave him half of the story.
A bad sector can’t be removed because it’s a physical defect on the HDD’s magnetic media, Which is usually
caused by faulty read/write heads scratching it’s surface. Each HDD has a limited number of spare sectors
so remapping (replacing) bad sectors with good ones is possible (to an extent). The chkdsk switch to use for this
task is /r, As in:
chkdsk x: /r
(This has to be done from command prompt, If using Vista/Win7, You have to run command prompt as admin or turn off UAC)
Just for general knowledge, /F only fixes standard problems, /R does that+remaps bad sectors.
IMO, An HDD with bad sectors should not be trusted, They can multiply over time and cause major file corruption, A head crash may occur too (leaving the HDD unusable) backing up your data & replacing it would be the best approach.
