HDD Regenerator v1.71 / bad sectors

Hi ppl im useing HDD Regenerator v1.71
its on 0.27% and has already found 700 bad sectors
so im guessing the drive is dead ???

well i cant seem to install windows 7 on it keeps failing half way through setup and tells me to run check disk witch i did
and check disk said cant copy to log file error 50 ???
so now running HDD Regenerator v1.71 and well its on 783 bad sectors now lol

get a new HDD, no point in trying to get it working properly when its on its way out. too bad prices have gone up too :/.
if you have an old hard drive thats lying around i would use that then paying £90 for a 500gb drive…

No. Its about to be dead, my friend uses his hdd with 0% health + 100% performance on HD Sentinel. The number of bad sectors will eventually increase.
I think 1 sector usually equals to 512 Bytes.

Get a new HDD before you lose data, if the bad sector count is increasing, your hdd is mechanically failing.
HDD’s are pricy now, but you can get them cheap still if you know where to look.
I been using my local Fry’s, but their sold out and internet price is over $100 now, but still cheaper than some places.
