October 8th, 2013

Okie.
My PC is on windows 7 Professional Edition, 64 Bit.
Problem is one running certain full screen applications and low spec games ( Such as Warcraft III). I mostly run low spec games atm. on this pc.
Well I get ocassanial BSOD, Quite frequetly now.
And Sometimes the display goes away (Black Screen) , and both the GPU and CPU fan Spin up like crazy. A PowerDown via long press of the power button is required.
Okie The MiniDump Files are here

Answer #1
might be your mobo temp is to high
had some BSoD’s on my P43 mobo until I cooled the northbridge to stay under 40ยบ
that’s the (gold colored ?) heatsink next to the CPU
are your CPU & northbridge heatsinks clean
Answer #2
hmm..
The HeatSink and northbridge are clean and working well i guess.
Cleaned the pc pretty recently.
Also They Have been about this temp from the time I made this PC.
Did you get anything from the Dump Files ?
Answer #3
you could try this link, and see if it helps

Answer #4
Did you get anything from the Dump Files ?
all different
the problem only happens in games ?
try updating you video card driver from nvidia (your current is 267.24)
http://www.nvidia.com/object/win7-winvista-64bit-285.62-whql-driver.html
also the video card temp looks a lil high for idle reading
my 9600GT only gets into the 60’s under a load and idles in the 40’s
that fan/heatsink clean
check your hard drive with “Hard Disk Sentinel” to see if that might be the cause (2nd opinion)
Answer #5
okie.
I did an update with the gpu drivers from the site.
now the pc gives a BSOD every 5 odd minutes.
Never got a chance to run Hard Disk Sentential.
Also The HDD seems okie, no noises or so,
this maybe the problem of the GPU ?
Answer #6
sounds to be like it.
I would get trying to get a replacement graphics card
Answer #7

edwoodweb looks like the HDD is fine.
Also The GPU looks okie too, just a little hot.
Any Idea how can I can cool it down, perhaps open it up and put some new thermal paste ?
Also Getting an another GFX Card is not an possibilty atm.
Also Kept the pc off for a few days, the 5 Mins BSOD have seemed to stop.
Answer #8
You could run FurMark to put your GPU under load to see how the temp goes and if that causes the blue screens.

Hey Nel, thanks for the help
Okie I downloaded the program, and ran it.
The First time I did a burn test, it ran for like approx 15secs,
The Temp Went upto to ~80 Degree and it then lost display and all the fans spun up.
Now if I try to start FurMark bechmarking or burn-in test, it instantly restarts.
It’s got me thinking, can it be a PSU Issue, should i try changing it out ?
Answer #10
Yup looks like it was the PSU.
Installed a 600W one from the stock 400W one, and is looking good.
Thanks for your help all.
