[SOLVED] Far Cry 2 video stops every few minutes of gameplay

August 6th, 2016

im not sure what’s wrong, but both my PC (see sig) and my friend’s PC (spec: q9450 CPU, 4GB RAM, gtx260 same graphics card) have this problem. both of us is upgraded to the latest nVidia driver (180.43 beta) the problem is that once in-game, it pauses for a few seconds every few minutes. makes the game completely unplayable. i am using the Razor Proper crack. anyone have this problem? if you are using nVidia Dx10 graphics card, please tell me what driver are you using? :
Answer #1
Mine is stopping every 12 seconds or so. I can’t play it at all. It even does it in the menu. Using HD3850 newest catalyst drivers
Answer #2
use the command gfx_maxfps 30 this will smooth out the gameplay worked for me

anyone think it’s the crack’s problem?? i’ve searched online, no such problem, it seems only very few of us on the crack community have this problem. i’ll try that command, but i doubt it’ll solve the problem, because it’s not low FPS, i get minimal of 40FPS without AA in benchmark, and it still pauses. @: are you connected to the internet? i mean currently my computer is only on a network, because internet isn’t setup yet. so could the crack be trying to dail home to get around a protection problem?
Answer #4
nah it cant, it wont have a need to dial out. Try another Razor Release crack

It was yes, I will try to unplug the network next…
EDIT: HOLY CRAP MAN It worked. I pulled the plug and started the game, and it doesn’t stop anymore. Sometimes the solution is something quite unexpected indeed.
