Send e-mail without using your real IP address?

Is there a way, perhaps from a website, where I can send an e-mail to someone but when they go and check where the e-mail originated from it won’t reveal my real IP address or location?

install the tor network addon for firefox, then sign up for a hotmail account, and use fake details. when you are done, forget (/dont ever use again) the account details

Or get yourself some socks5 and connect them up to firefox
