Reinstall Windows New CPU + Motherboard? [SOLVED]

Do i need to reinstall Windows? Today i get new CPU. Anyway, it’s time to install Windows 8.1 if Windows 8 not work after replacement.

With Windows 8, you should be able to throw the HDD in the new system, and and boot right up.
there are some rules by M$oft regarding what hardware you can change in your pc .. best thing is to put in the cpu and see how you go ....

Most likely no. When I got my 4770k with my Extreme VI I didnt need to reinstall.
But I think you should. Rather start fresh with new parts just to make sure everything go together.

you shouldnt have any issues, but i would prefer a clean install myself.

the guy wanted some advice …
and if u read what i said you will understand that i gave him a qik answer about how the Windows software might react to new hardware configuration … forwarned is forarmed…
given then that he wud know what to maybe expect , i then said to install the cpu and see what happens…. nothing said about talking to M$oft …
