Question concerning XP installation
August 9th, 2016http://www.google.com?t=2240464&start=0
The person has had plenty of positive feedback and therefore I know it will work. I just need to get something straight first though. If I am to boot this with iso and then install it. Will this install it’s self and overwrite vista that I currently have or will it install it’s self along side vista and allow me to select vista or xp on a menu when the computer boots up? Do I need to burn the stuff to a disk or not?
Thank you for your time.
Help will be greatly appreciated.
Burn ISO on CD/DVD, an dthen boot it from cd after restarting your PC, and then you will instal new OS, if you have 2 partitions then you can have dual boot, but if you have only one then you will have to format your hdd and then instal fresh copy of OS. but if you dont want to do that, make another partition, andon that other partition instal new OS, and after every restart you will choose which os you want to run.
Oh I see – Thank you.
Hmm.. Can I ask how I add another partition?

You can make another ( new partition ) using Partition Magic app its very good and easy to make.
Try this.. I can explane you whole procedure but first try this!

Good Luck!
If you have Vista already and install XP, XP will overwrite the Vista boot loader. You then have to use VISTABOOTPRO to restore the Vista loader, and add the XP loader to that.
This may help..

Thank you all for your help. Perhaps someone can explain to me a little background information about partition. This is going to sound pathetic, but what exactly is a partition? How much space do I need to actually make available to add XP? Sorry it’s just all so very confusing. So that my confusion is eased. Which of the following guides is better to follow: http://www.wikihow.com/Resize-and-Create-Partitions-with-Partition-Magic-8

With that in toe, I will try following a specific guide. Can I also ask, once I’ve done this… How much space will I have available on the XP?

This is correct!!
I know that, but I need to know which of the above guides is the best to learning how to correctly get two partitions
