PS1 Backup Games on Modded PS2

ok so as the title says … i have a modded ps2 … slim version … the silver one … (doubt it matters) … i am wondering … after i downloaded my ps1 rom … can i burn it on a dvd and then play it on my modded ps2 ?
i know i might need DVD ScanLite 3.7 which i cant find at all …
any way i can play my ps1 backup game on my modded ps2 ? i have tried burning a ps1 cd and play it in my ps2, but it said … that its not a ps2 disk …
any help is greatly appreciated.

PSX games burned on a CD should work….Burn at slow speed 2X if possible…And clean your laser…

I think it depends on how you modded your ps2
I know that you can’t play ps1 backups with a swapdisc

His PS2 has a Mod…And yes you can even play PSX backup with swapmagic…You get a DVD and a CD when you order swapmagic…The CD version is for the PSX backups…

it will run, whatever you use to play backups… maybe not with the gameshark method, but all others will do fine (mod, SM, ps1 exploit)
