Problem with my Laptop

August 5th, 2016

Hey peeps,
I have a really big problem with my laptop, it stays black, sometimes if i connect it to a other monitor, i will be able to see my things, and if i put the cable out of the laptop it goes back again, and sometimes it will work my laptops monitor, but the chance is small if that happend, so my question is: How can i turn my monitor on?, i format it, reset all drivers etc.
Must i reset the bios? but how can you reset your bios on a laptop, it is pretty difficult, because i have saw any solutions to reset ur bios, for the pc, but i think the laptop is much more difficulter then the pc.
Please help , i dont have any guarantee

Answer #1
Has it been like this since you bought it or did it just happen out of nowhere?
Answer #2
Sometimes video card drivers have shortcuts for changing the active monitor. Try pressing CTRL-ALT-F1 through CTRL-ALT-F12 and see if one of those key combinations turns on the LCD. Usually if an external monitor works, the LCD will turn itself off, but it depends on the driver and some other settings. If you get it working on an external monitor, but it still won’t work on the LCD, go into the display control panel and turn down the screen resolution to something ridiculously small such as 640X480. Laptop LCDs typically can’t handle as high a resolution as their desktop counterparts, but it depends on the laptop.

thnx for the commands
Answer #4
theres normaly a ‘function’ or ‘FN’ button, and one of the f-keys often has a picture of a monitor on it (F5 on mine), try pressing both at the same time, see if that works
Answer #5
Doesnt work, btw i cant change my resolution if i am on a external monitor, i is on 4 bit(lowest) 800×600, i think that is the problem because if i put it on a other external laptop it does turn on the monitor but how can i change the resolution if it dont move?
Answer #6
