Laptop problem

August 7th, 2016

Hello everyone,
I just wanted to power up my laptop and I see it doesn’t works anymore. The LED that indicates if the laptop is powered up or not is on, but nothing works (no image, the fans doesn’t work). I noticed I have power to the USBs and the DVD Drive is getting out.
Any ideas why this could happen (maybe some fixes, else I’ll send it to warranty)?
Thanks in advice!

Is it a HP pavilion?

No, Toshiba L500D-16k

…be smart…..if its still in warranty then its better to send it to the service centre than to mess around with it yourself….
Answer #4
Well yes, but I have to send it 600km away (bought it on the internet). 2 keys doesn’t stay on the keyboard as they should so I’m afraid if I lose the warranty. I’ll call them tomorrow and see what they say.
Btw, do you think it can be a BIOS problem?

No. If the memory is lose it will still start the fan. But will beep at you
I think it will just be the fan. But i would still send it back all that way if its still in warranty. Dont make it VOID.

My HP did this except it was beeping really loud. Took it to a computer place that I knew the guy who owned it he said it was the graphics card and it would cost $300 to replace it. SCREW THAT. The whole laptop only cost $900 back in the day when I bought it.
I agree with sending it back if it’s under warranty. At least this will fix your problems without you having to dish out cash, even if it takes a while.
