Possible error in PC Probe 2
January 28th, 2020
So recently I noticed that my PC started to become a little bit noisy so I decided to install PC probe II again to check up on things (I previously used it before and it gave me no problems) and it showed me this… when I turned on the application…

So just to make sure I used other software like CPUID Hardware Monitor….

I don’t really have any real knowledge on the PSU rails and etc…but from what I can guess (using my common sense), is that PC Probe II is lying to me and probably CPUID Hardware Monitor is too lol
I say it’s lying to me cause I checked the hardware monitor in the BIOS and everything looks normal in my eyes…
The Vcore voltage is 0.99V, 3 volt rail is around 3 volts, 5 volt rail is around 5 volt and 12 volt rail is around 12 volt rail….
So the question is: Should I be worried? Much appreciated.
Monitor programs like that are notorious for giving off bad PSU readings, if your voltages were really like that your computer wouldn’t work. They can be good enough for temps but PSU voltages I wouldn’t trust them, go with what your BIOS says and if you still have doubts you can check the voltage yourself with a multimeter, which you can pick up dirt cheap and find a guide a google of what sticks where, it’s quite simple. But that would be overkill unless you had a genuine concern that the PSU is fritzing.
but PSU voltages I wouldn't trust them
agree, but you never know
a little bit noisy
explain this, what type of noise ?
Oh I see……So I guess it’s nothing wrong with the PSU at this time…
a little bit noisy
explain this, what type of noise ?
The kind of noisy I’m referring to is like the CPU is constantly on full load and the fan is spinning a lot quicker to cool it down? There isn’t any strange noise it’s just spinning fairly quickly and thats making the noise.
Before, when my PC is on idle…the fan on the CPU would be really quiet but for some reason it recently has become fairly noisy…
If that explains it a little bit further lol Thanks,
