Picture resizing
July 28th, 2013
I am currently working on a iPhone App and need some help!
I downloaded lots of pictures for the app, and need to resize them.
They all have different sizes and I need to have one size, 128×128 in 72 DPI.
The problem is, the pictures aren’t square, so when I resize it, it stretches. I don’t know any good program that can do that.
Is it possible to have a program that will do the work, without stretching pictures? A program that can do all the pictures at once, so I don’t have to do them manualy?
PS: I’m working on a mac, but if there’s a better program (free if possible, and not complicated) on a PC it’ okay.
Thank you for your time
How do you want to do it? These pictures were not square originally. Just convert them “as is” and then crop one side. Would that suffice for you?
Use Photoshop..Resizing will let you resize the width. height as well as the resolution..
Thank you for your answers. So if I understand correctly, there’s no way a program car do it automatically right? I have to do it for each and every picture?
Ofcourse there are numerous batch converters!( Idk anything about MAC though, sorry.) I was just pointing out the fact that you must keep the pics dimensions and then crop the bigger side so as the result won’t end up distorted.
Edit:
There you go:

Irfanview on windows will do batch conversions very easily.
I know timthumb.php for automaticaly resizing picture but it’s for website ^^
