pdf to word, edit word, size goes up?

January 31st, 2020

I got a pdf file to convert to word…
So basically the converted word file was .rtf and the size was about 2 megs. I edited a few (deleted some stuff) saved the file… size goes up to 40megs+
How come?

any ideas?

Did you view the raw file to see what was added? I might expect some metadata to be added, but not 40MB worth.
Answer #3
Is there picture in the PDF? If Yes
To reduce file size in your Windows version of Word:
Right-click the picture in your document.
Select Format Picture from the shortcut menu.
    Select the Picture tab.
Click the Compress button in lower left.
Select your options. (Select All pictures)
    Click OK.

Yeah there are multiple pictures. In the pdf and .rtf file the size stayed the same. I deleted some text and saved the file… boom
