Partition table recover?

October 7th, 2013

Hi guys
on my 2nd ATA drive 1tera wd i made a mistake a changed the partition table.
Now i dont have access to it.
My pc recognize the hdd but the HD shows as unllocated.
How can i recover the partition table. to be able to see my partitions again ?.
if i use file scavenger i can see all my files on the drive, but my main HD its only 500gb so i cant recover all the files on it.
i had the same problem once with another hdd but i was able to fix this problem watchin another partition table in other hdd with the exact partitions.
but in this case i have no clue what was the original partition table. ( has 3 partitions on the hdd )
any idea how to fix this ?
P.D. im running Acronis recovery, but is showing a lot of partitions of of 500gigs each
Does the partition table saves on a file ? cause in that case maybe i could find it with file scavenger and recovery it and later change the partition manual. but i have no clue

I recommend:
Paragon Hard Disk Manager 11 Server With Virtualization Add-on 10.0.17.13146
You can use it to do what you want.

Hiren’s BootCD has partition table editors on it you can try
but without and existing partition table you don’t know what to edit
that’s why you need to try and recover it

allready the prob is that the hdd has 6 partitions and the tabl editor allows 4 so it doesnt work.
i think im gonna recover all th files and wipe the disk.
thnx for all the help.

if there a “logical/extended” partitions and not “primary” then if may be it only shows the extended partition and not the logical partitions in it, which will be recovered when you recover the extended partition

+1 recommendation for Paragon, it’s worked every time my drives failed.

i gave up i moved all that i could to my 500G Hd and format my 1T hard drive.
now im wondering if i can use the norton image that i have on my 1t drive.
i used to use my 500gigs Hd as main disk, but windows 7 tells me that the HD could have problems on the future and it runs chkdsk on it everytime i log on win.
so i dont know if i can use my img on 1t HDD since its a diferrent disk and size.
I tried once already, but the pc keep saying that c: its the 500hd nto the 1T. even when i changed the HDD of Ports on the mother board.
I guess my next step. gonna be. to resize the 1T Hdd and make a particion with the exact size of my 500hd and use diskpart to change the drive letter. i hope this works
Answer #10
try creating a 500gb partition on it
Answer #11
well i tried recovering the img on the 1t hdd but the pc is stuck on verifying dmi pool data, so what im gonna do is to install win7 and later replace win witn the windows on my image.
lets hpe that works
