Nokia S40 phone question

ok guys im considering buying this phone but i want to switch between tasks , as in while im on GPRS i want to send and receive a text and reply to one as well , i can do this on a symbian phone but is it possible to do on a phone like the 5130 , 5220 etc i.e a S40 OS ( os w/o symbian features ) if there is a way to do so can u tell me the way ?

I dont think s40 phones allow multitasking much.
