no video playback on new screen please help!

so i just got a vizio 37″ 1080p screen with pc input and when i connect my laptop via VGA cable i see the whole desktop great but when i play a video i see nothing on the screen playing,does anyone know what i can do?

no its not that i get video on my laptop screen but not on the 37″ at the same time i see video on one screen i dont on the other.

clse the laptop, or chang eth edisplay setting so it plays the video on the conencted montior, is the only thin gi can think of checking, or maybe the frequency on the monitor, ond aspect ratios and stuff. i had that once but i was hooking up a big screen tv

i tried changing the display it works as a monitor but i just cant see actual video on any player but i can see windows desktop.

what mode you in
clone – dualview – or what
with video that uses the overlay it only plays on one monitor @ a time
the latest install I did I open the player normal size, slide it over till it gets (over � way) more on the TV than the PC then make it full sereen
or
use the Fn key combo that turns off the lappy screen so it’s just the TV and use that like a monitor
or
set the TV as main monitor and lappy as 2ndary
