Video screen grabber
February 7th, 2020
Something like this, as google suggests:
http://www.scenegrabber.net/
It seems enough for what you need.
If you use Media Player Classic – Home Cinema (free, open source and an overall excellent player) for the playback of your media, there’s an option to generate video screenshots.
You can grab the latest build from here:
http://nightly.mpc-hc.org/
To grab the screen shots follow the below.
Step 1 and 2 are done to take the screenshot at the video’s actual resolution to prevent distortion due to scaling.
1. Open up the file in MPC-HC, go to File > Properties.
2. Note the resolution of the video in the dialogue.
3. Go to File > Save thumbnails
4. In the dialogue, enter the resolution recorded in step 2. Also enter the rows and columns (ideally 1) you need and hit save.
5. That ought to save a screenshot as below.
Hope this helps. Cheers.
Thanks a lot, Zeed for your detail instruction and help.
I am a mac user…so, I wonder if I could use Media Player.
