No Sound From PC

Have a new pc but am unable to get sound from it. If i connect speakers to the back i can get sound. Would prefer not to use speakers though.
Is there a setting i need to enable?

go to your motherboard manufacturers website and download all your drivers from there

if a PC are you sure there are internal speakers ?

It’s a desktop i’m having trouble with.
I can’t see any speakers on it. My previous desktop was able to output sound & i can’t see any speakers on this either.

It would be unusual for a PC to have speakers in it..You normally need to plug speakers into back or front..

A Pc does not have speaker beside those from the case/motherboard (beep/alarm sound)
To get sound. Your monitor have to support/have sound build in and use a HDMI cable to connect it from the monitor to the PC. Or a vga/dvi and a wire jack.

Durr, my mistake. Had the cable from my monitor plugged into the wrong jack on the pc.
