Looking for a program to Record all sound from Sound Card

August 12th, 2013

I am currently using “High Criteria -Total Recorder 8.3” but every minute there is an interruption in the sound recording.. plays a noise “tshhh” – really annoying.
Looking for an alternative / better program.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Thanks Mates

I use Total Recorder and love it. There isn’t much else that comes close. Are you compressing the audio as you record? That can cause odd sounds like you describe. I always record to uncompressed wav then encode the saved file with another app.
Answer #2
Nope, I recorded on High Quality PCM (wav file).. Still at 1:03 it plays the TSHHH sound..
I think it’s a punishment from High Criteria for the product being pirated or something.. lol

Try other settings and see if the problem remains.
Answer #4
Yeah, even with Lame Encoder still remains

I’ve just experienced this same weirdness recording a track from a website swf player. After an hour of messing around I gave up and used Adobe Soundbooth CS5 to record it without a problem.

Audacity doesn’t work on my Laptop, It doesn’t show the sound mixer on the “Recording” inputs option. (Only an external mic) I’ve searched online for a solution and it comes out that Windows 7 hides the sound card, unfortunately on my Windows 7 I can’t unhide it..
Thanks Tho
