Need Help Installing New BIOS

I’m trying to OC my Pentium 4 from 2.4GHz to 3.0Ghz but my MOBO locked the ability to do so. I used the Everest suggestion for a new bios download but I got some .bin file.
My Motherboard according to Everest:
ECS L4S5MG/651+

the new bios will probably be locked as well
try googling “ecs motherboard overclocking” or “ECS L4S5MG/651+ overclocking” for workarounds if available

New bios revision will not help you mate, time to think about getting a new system if you want to get into the world of overclocking.

If its locked its for good reason. Without proper cooling or knowing how much volts you should increase, even a single increase of speed by 30mhz could fry your CPU in few mins.
You usually burn the BIOS update to CD and run it before computer boots up. Never try doing it from within OS, i done it and almost screwed it up cuz it froze lol So running from within OS is a bad idea. Never do it.
