My new hard disk is invisible in win xp sp3

I installed a new 1 tb maxtor sata hard disk, in my computer with windows xp sp 3.
It’s recognized by the bios, but it doesn’t appear in my windows, Even the divice manager recognizes it and report no error.
What can I do?

Hiren’s BootCD>Partition Tools>Acronis Disk Director Suite..See if there is any partition…If there isn’t…Create one..

put
diskmgmt.msc
into a run box and see if it shows up in windows disk mgt
if so then just rt click the drive
you need to partition & format it to assign a drive letter/s to it
