My mousepad hardly seems to recognize finger movement

When i’m using the mousepad on my laptop.. if often doesn’t respond to the movement of my finger.
Is it broken.. just worn-out? Or could there be something else going on? I often have to move twice, before the cursor actually moves.

you should have a toutchpad setting config on your laptop, check that.
it might be in control panel if its not on the taskbar icons.
Try cleaning the touch pad area with a clean cloth, might be because u have used it using oily fingers so it has reduced its sensitivity, if that doesn’t work than go control panel and check Mouse settings
Wipe the thing down with Detol and see if it improves, if it does it was just dirty. Otherwise jack the sensitivity up if you can?
