i startgede dmy computer this morningand it ran fine, itthen restrated and repeated the procces. now when i switch it on i get the message ” Network boot not available” i heard from other forums that this means by HD is dead and from others tha i need to reinstall an OS. is i DO need to reinstall an OS would it be possible to install XP if i have vista running?
Answer #1
I don’t think your HD is dead..sometimes when your computer can’t detect any hd..it defaults to network booting…sometimes that can be caused by faulty or loose leads..check the connections in the back of your hd..also the power connection..push them firmly…if that fails..try different leads…
Answer #2
in booting process, press DEL (depends on you’re motherboard) to access BIOS and see if you’re HD is really dead but i doubt that
