Merge video files
August 5th, 2016
Is there a way I can join these two together so I can burn it onto 1 single DVD.
Yes there is.
Its quite simple in fact.
Just simply download a software called winavi, which available here in , and make sure u have bothe movie files in the same folder.
Open the aplication and chose the option dvd. Browse for the two files and select both. Then make sure that in the combo box u have the option “Merge in one DVD”. And start converting. It will result in a DVD which can be played on ur pc or on a home dvd.
Thanks for the help. But i think i can do the same thing with Convertxtodvd

no you cant?

well.. yes you can.
but it will play the whole CD1 then it will stop
go back to the menu.
then you would have to play CD2.
that is a kinda pain in the ass.
Search Fast MPEG Joiner.
^^ Best one out there. and easiest to use IMO
Wahoo thanks I was looking for this as well

yes you can
but it will play the whole CD1 then it will stop
not if you select sequential play in the options
you will have 2 menu entries if you make a menu but they will play back seamlessly
U can also use virtual dub for the same herz a tut–
http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/virtualdub_join_avi.cfm
Some times in case where files that have different framerates, codecs or resolutions u cant use fast avi mpeg joiner for that u’ll need virtualdub mp3 freeze http://www.videohelp.com/tools/Virtualdub_MP3_Freeze
It can be used in the same way as above
say if I want to join 2x700MB = 1400MB avi using virtualdub, will I end up with 1400MB avi file and 2 original 700MB files? I know I can delete the 2, but would matter if concerns space
err..and if I use ‘ Srt Joiner’ http://fsc.hypercoder.com/srt/
to make the 2 .srt into 1 .srt, will the sub synch with the joined movie?
and what do direct stream copy , fast, normal recompress mean?
and what do direct stream copy , fast, normal recompress mean?
Fast/ normal recompress means that VDUb will recompress the files again using a codec of ur choice (avi only)
Direct stream copy will keep the same video without change, so remeber to choose direct stream copy or as said in the tut if u do a full recompress u’ll end up with a massive file

Yes u can delete the original 2 avi’s once the vid is joined the new vid= size of 2 older videos
Havent encountered any sub files so havent tried the subjoiner but yes if u rename the new combined sub as the same as the new (combined) video file it should work fine
