Suggestion: Do them in 2 steps
1- Convert all into a uniform format (same AR, same video and audio codec, same bitrate etc)
2- Join these segments together. I use the free Avidemux fpr joining

Make sure you don’t have anything else running and that your pc is in good running order.

Did you do as I suggested?
Are the audio in converted segments in synch?
Do all segments have the same AR, video/audio codec, bitrate (important)?
Are you using VBR?
Does the sync issues happens after merging?
Which software are you using?
Paste the MediaInfo/mkvInfo details of some segments so that they can be compared

Yes, I do what do you suggest.
No, all segments are difference video/audio codec, bitrate.
Many software that I already using eg: Total Video Converter, Bigasoft video converter, boilsoft video joiner, imtoo / xilisoft video converter ultimate, ultra video joiner, free video joiner, etc
all of them make audio video out of sync after merge.

Maybe using this AVS Video Remaker would work for you..
http://www.avs4you.com/guides/how-to-merge-several-video-files.aspx
http://www.google.com?t=19294281&highlight=
But then again, I think you would need to convert the clips to a single size/format first, as said..
And convert any VBR sound to CBR sound..
MediaInfo can show you details of your clips..

Thanks for your replies, Avs video remarker, editor & converter do not work for me, audio is still out of sync over video ( audio +- 0.5 sec )
I already try to convert all of my video ( avi, xvid, mp4, wmv, flv ) to single Mp4 format ( H264, aac ), and then try to merge into 1 big video (Mp4), but audio is still out of sync after merge.

As already mentioned, all segments MUST have the same AR, resolution, video/audio codec, bitrate, frame-rate BEFORE attempting to merge/join them.
Once you make this part happen, and once you check that all audio in all the segments are in synch..only then you should try to merge them.
So, to start with …
Step by step:

  • Find a common AR & Resolution (or a suitable one) and set that AR & Resolution
  • Chose a Video codec ie x264
  • Chose an audio codec ie AAC or AC3 and set to CBR (constant bit rate)
  • Select the frame-rate (fps). If they have different frame-rates, that would complicate thing greatly
  • Convert all segments (without joining) to above specifications
  • Check the sync in all segments
  • Check the AR, resolution, video/audio codec, bitrate, frame-rate in all segment to make sure they are all the same
  • Finally, now attempt to join the segments into one large one (no more conversion), I use the free AviDemux for this

Have fun
