I do appreciate the help, but are you tell me that this is the only way?! I really can’t believe that I can’t change something simple like this in the windows settings, but I guess that would be too easy.
well you could try googling it and see if it can be done using windows settings
Most PC mics have the tip and ring of the mic plug joined together…This ensures that the mic will be connected to both chans even if the mike input socket is wired for stereo…If you can unscrew the cover from the plug, you can check it out…and bridge them together..

(Just to show what tip and ring is)
Also if you are using a front mic jack, then you could try the rear one or visa versa.

I tried and found nothing. unless I’m googling the wrong thing
The mic is connected to a USB interface with a XLR3 Connection. That’s why I was hoping it was a software fix
Maybe there is a balance control ( L—l—R ) in the software that is not set to the centre position..
Having it in the centre should put the sound through both chans, at least it does with normal sound cards.
You haven’t told us what microphone you have or what pc software and hardware you are using. All of those pieces of information would be helpful.
