Low quality sky textures in some games?

Hi all
I am experiencing a sky texture issue in Call of Duty 4 and Need for Speed the run.

(I noticed that the screenshot is more blurred when uploaded so u can’t see the issue well… But ingame it looks terribly unsharp.
I used to have the same problem with call of duty 1. I solved it by selecting the call of duty application profile from the list of preinstlaled profiles in the NVidia control center. It layed some kind of filter on the sky texture so it looks very smooth.
But.. Since I have an ATI card now I can’t select profiles in the ATI control center.. I also messed with the Catalyst settings such as texture quality etc but nothing seems to help.
I don’t know what else to try.
(The settings of the games are all maxed out and I have the latest ati software and drivers installed)

if you have graphic issues for 3 or more games, I would say your
system is not up to running the new releases with highest settings.
I looked at your 2 images of The RUN, and the game is way too dark
Since you didnt mentioned your system specs, I or anyone else will
be difficult to give you recommendation.

The game looks dark to you because of my personal desktop & screen settings. To me the game doen’t look dark in game at all. Only the screenshot does.
And my system is capable of running these games maxed out without any problem.
I have:
AMD Phenom II 965BE overclocked at 3.8ghz
ATI HD 6870oc
8gb ddr3
…
(Oh and btw thank you for uploading all those nice pc games on warez )
