Quality

Hey guys. Is there a difference between 1080/720p bluray and 1080p/720p web dl? Which quality is better?
Answer #1
Depends on bit rates.
WEB-DL come from iTunes mainly.
So they’re good for things like TV shows, because they won’t have chan watermarks.
Better than bluray simply for reason, they are released at similar or same time as broadcasted.
Some TV shows will never make it to dvd or bluray for years, if at all.
Bottom line is, WEB-DL are good quality generally and should be happy enough to download.
Bluray would be better because bit can be made to whatever capper wants.
WEB-DL can be 1080, but think they’d cap bit rates on them.
Answer #2
As said, if you have a 700MB Web-Dl is should be pretty much the same as 700MB BR rip.
But not up to the quality of a 25GB BR rip..
Answer #3
bluray is better than web-dl but both would do the job anyway for watching
Answer #4
Cool. Yea, I find the bluray ones are better quality, but no big difference with the web-dl. Thanks for the advice guys.
Answer #5
Bluray is generally better than WEB-DL, but you probably won’t notice the difference in quality if you download them at similar sizes. So if you have a 3GB Bluray version of movie and a 3GB WEB-DL of the same movie, you probably won’t notice much of a difference, unless you’re looking for the issues.
Answer #6
The naked eye can’t really tell the difference unless you’re watching on a 50+ inch screen or even 4k.
However, the audio is better on blurays.
