Laptop bombs out

January 24th, 2020

I have a hp pavilion dv1000 and it fell the other day, and since then every time i switch it on it dies right afterwards, goes completely off. But on some occasions it load up windows and can maintain about 5 min on, then bombs out.
I have changed the memory, the hard drive, cleaned everything inside, changed battery.
Have you guys got any solution I could try?

Answer #1
When it fell did it jar the fan, if so the heat from a start up could cause a shut down, or running 5 mins well the heat builds up, check and make sure the fan blades are free and moving, all so you can try this turn off you laptop and take out the battery, now push the start up button 2-3 times to remove any charge in the system, now just go around and make sure all conections are pushed in 1 may have came loose and you have an intermitant conection, then try to restart it crossing your fingers

and remove the fan/heatsink assembly you may need thermal paste as well, to replace what’s between the fan/heatsink and the CPU
