It’s been awhile since I downloaded anything… need help

It’s been a long while since I have downloaded anything here, and I seem to have lost my way. I’m currently a mechanical engineering student, I’m taking a engineering design course next quarter and am looking to get a head start by getting Solidworks (obviously for educational purposes). I know the thread I want to get it from, but I can’t remember exactly what I need to do to download it as going link by link without a membership will literally take days. What programs, memberships, etc are needed to effectively install the app? I believe I have used FlashGet before. Is this still a good option? Excuse my extreme ignorance here.

you can use IDM (Internet Download Manager) and download each link.
You can also use Jdownloader. Add all the link there and it will download each one when the free limit expire.

If you have premium to that file host you can just use IDM and add all the link. It will max your speed out.

What links are they from, as you can request them to be made premium for you in Services & Giveaways.
There are topics to make premium links or even one topic,have them uploaded to another host for you.

Not sure what you mean by this. Can you elaborate please? The links I would like to download are from RG…

There are topics where you can put your RG links and they will send you premium links to download from them.
Just like if you had a RG account.

I am having a bunch of problems installing Jdownloader, is that normal? Get a BUNCH of malware and Adware alerts.

Sometimes I leave links overnight on jd. I put it to d/l, extract the packages and auto-shutdown the PC when done. You need a service without captchas for this.

That’s where I started the download, and it popped up on chrome as malware instantly. I turned that off, and then after I started the download it came up on Kaspersky as Adware…

It really shouldn’t. Jdownloader Webinstaller is 100% clean. Maybe it’s been flagged as adware due to some offers appearing on the GUI, but it’s something minor. Just ignore it and allow the installation.
