iPhone 5 unlock from O2-UK to Vodafone-UK

August 5th, 2016

Hi guys,
I’ve just bought an iPhone 5 from a friend who had it contracted to O2-UK. However, I am currently on Vodafone-UK and need to unlock it to be able to use my Vodafone SIM card. I’ve seen lots of websites that offer unlocking but it’s pretty expensive and takes a long time. I don’t currently have a nano SIM either but believe Vodafone will give me a new SIM card on request.
Can anyone help me unlock this phone quickly and cheaply?
Thank you ers!

I think you might be able to get it unlocked for free mate. I wanted to unlock my iPhone 4 last year and was searchin around the web, i found quite a few people saying that if you bought the phone on contract with O2 and the contract has ended then you can get it done for free by them. Just ask your friend that had the phone first to contact O2 directly and the customer service people should put you through to the right people.
Good luck mate

Phone O2… They will unlock it for free. Well… that is of course assuming that the original contract is now over??
