IPB Skins not working correctly

I upload the skin .xml file, then i upload the image .xml file while assinging it to the skin im uploading and yet it doesn’t work, why?

i’ve now tried it on 2 hosts, oxyhost and servage.

Did you upload the image files in the directory?

you dont get image files, just 2 xml files, one for the template and one thats meant to add the images to the folder

Oh is it v2? Read this guide to ensure you’re doing everything correctly.If it still doesn’t work, contact the skin designer or use the IPB support forum.

What guide? It’s version 2.3.5

Import the skin file, then import the image file making sure it is “attached” to the skin file. Then, if there is a (I forget the name. Stupid vBulletin) file, import that too.

It seems that, you did not selected the image directory for your importe skin. To do this go to
Admin CP>Skins & Templates>Skin Manager>Click the arrow on the grey button placed on right hand of “Your Skin”>Edit Settings…>Image Options>Use image directory?>style_images/>from the drop down list choose “Your Skin”>Click “Edit Skin Settings” placed at bottom of the page.
That’s all … you are done.
