Help me! Dead Island not working correctly.

I just downloaded a torrent of the game ‘Dead Island’, and after 3 hours of trying to fix the sound and language I’m now stuck. I already downloaded all the needed dll files, and after that I followed the instructions to change something in the ‘game.ini’ file, after doing this now when I click on the launcher, it keeps saying ‘Dead Island stopped working.’ Although this was supposed to fix that issue, now even if I change it back to what it was I still keep getting the same issue.
My problems are the following right now:
1. No sound at all.
2. Language probably fixed now.
3. Game won’t start at all anymore.
Fixes I tried:
Downloading missing DLL files.
DirectX reinstall and all that.
Changing stuff in the game.ini file.
Reinstalling the game.
I can’t find any other possible fixes on google or youtube because they all said that changing the game.ini file would solve the problem, but the same problem remained.

I forgot to mention that you don’t have to tell me anything about changing the game.ini file as I have already read all the fixes for that and nothing works. Everyone posts change the ”En” to ”en” and then everyone says it’s fixed but for me it stays exactly the same and doesn’t change anything.

Did u download a rip? it’s best to download the full version since with rips its hit or miss I would try reinstalling the game I’ve used both scene release original and goty both worked fine
I used a torrent with an installer it was a repack from R.G. Catalyst. And it worked fine at first, only the language was wrong and there was no sound, but now it only keeps saying ‘Dead Island stopped working.’
Reinstalled, now its working smoothly in english but I still have no sound, so now I just need a sound fix.
