vBulletin Skins

Hello first off sorry if this is the wrong spot as to I didn’t know were else to post this.
Basically if I decided to download a VB skin from here and use it well vBulletin shut down my site? Like what would happen if I get cought using an illegal skin? Is there a way for them to find out?
Sorry if I seem paranoid.
