You don’t really ‘install’ the .iso, you have to either burn it to a disc as an image file, or mount it to a virtual drive using Alcohol or Daemon Tools.
….. yes U can “install” direct from Iso.. Done it many times.. I use Ultra ISO.. no problemo..
Using Ultra Iso is no different than using Daemon Tools or Alcohol – it mounts a virtual drive and there you go. BUT Alcohol and Daemon Tools deals with emulation of protection – so it’s better to use them than UltraIso (Daemon Tools Advanced Pro being THE BEST).
I have never used alcohol but I think that daemon tools is really good and easy.
once you install it and it is running, it will have an icon in your tray.
right click it, move up to virtual CD/DVD-ROM, move over onto “Device 0: [Drive Letter:] Empty”, then move over from that onto mount image.
Select the iso file, and then if it doesn’t auto run, go to my computer and it will look like you have inserted an installation disc.
Simply run it from there.
If the “Device 0..” isnt there, then in the Virtual CD/DVD-ROM menu, go down to set number of devices and set it to 1.
Let me know if this helps
ok, so you have unpacked the compressed files and have the iso right. Open alcohol and look at the bottom of the window, you should have a line that says “virtual cd/dvd drive”. Underneath that line your virtual drives will be displayed. If you have the settings under the “virtual drive” tab on the left side of the screen set to one you should see one drive, 2 for 2 and so on. Then right click on your virtual drive and left on mount image. Then navigate to your .iso image file and select it. It probably won’t start up automatically, mine won’t. So then you have to right click on the same virtual drive letter again and open file explorer, from there you manually open the installer file that’s contained inside the .iso image file. Hope this helps.
I actually remembered it =\
all you do is extract the first one and find it in alcohol 120% and wollah haha farcry 2 is awesome!
your problem solved ?
haha FarCry 2 installed a Securom rootkit on your machine. Don’t beleive me? Run root kit revealer and see.
easiest is daemon. mount image, done
I use UltraISO (full version)
Very simple, download ISO game/app, In UltraISO go to file open( look for iso file), go to Tools menu, Burn CD/DVD image to disk, always successful.
