If you burn a CD/DVD does it get a unique Microsoft ID?

August 5th, 2016

A while back I read that files you create under Windows end up with a unique ID code that can be traced back to your PC. I know Microsoft offers a utility to strip them out of files on your PC but what about CDs and DVDs you burn? Do these have a unique ID?
Answer #1
no it does not, infact what you read is completly incorrect or you
misunderstood it , each file have a unique hash (md5/crc) that identifes it it have nothin to do with m$ and cant be traced back to you
the serial number on the disc itself may be traced
back to the store you bought it from and from there
maybe to you from CCTV footage or credit card
if you paid with it, BUT it requires
alot of time and effort so dont worry about it
